Kick Starting 2026: Realign Partners Team Offsite

As we step into 2026, the Realign Partners team came together for our annual offsite—an important moment in our rhythm as a business to connect, reset, and refocus. More than just a meeting, the offsite is our opportunity to align around priorities, strengthen relationships, and ensure that the way we work mirrors the outcomes we deliver for clients.

This year’s offsite brought the full team together to set our strategic direction for the year ahead, sharpen the capabilities we bring to our partners, and invest deeply in the culture that underpins Realign’s success.

Setting the Strategy for the Year Ahead

A core focus of the offsite was aligning on our 2026 strategy—clarifying where we are heading as a firm and the key priorities that will drive our impact. Across structured sessions and team discussions, we explored:

  • The emerging needs of our clients

  • Opportunities to expand our advisory and transformation support

  • Ways to further strengthen how we collaborate across projects

  • The capabilities we want to grow as a team in 2026

These conversations set a clear foundation for the year ahead and reinforced the importance of staying adaptable, curious, and purposeful in the complex environments we work within. Importantly, we acknowledged that our operating environment continues to evolve rapidly shaped by shifting client expectations, economic uncertainty, and ongoing industry transformation.

With this in mind, our strategy is not intended to be static. We recognised the need for an ever‑changing landscape mindset, supported by a regular monitoring and updating approach to ensure our priorities remain relevant, responsive, and grounded in real‑world signals. This commitment to continual reflection and refinement will help us stay aligned, anticipate change early, and adjust our direction thoughtfully as the year unfolds.

Building Connection Through Team Development

At Realign, we know that the quality of our work is a direct reflection of the quality of our relationships—both internally and with clients.

Our offsite included several team‑building activities designed to deepen trust, elevate communication, and reinforce the sense of unity that allows us to perform at our best. Whether through collaborative problem‑solving sessions or reflective conversations about how we show up as a team, these moments created shared understanding and strengthened the connections that carry through to our day‑to‑day work.

Learning from a Leading Voice: Jon Burgess from Kwan

A highlight of the offsite was our keynote session with Jon Burgess of https://www.kwan.com.au. Jon led the team through the Kwan program:
“Advocacy: What capability do leaders need to drive, scale and transform.”

The session explored the critical role advocacy plays in modern leadership—how deeply understanding the needs of people and nurturing strong relationships can accelerate performance, unlock collaboration, and support transformation at scale.

Jon’s work with Kwan has influenced leaders across industries, and his insights offered our team a powerful lens for how we engage with clients and with each other. His session challenged us to think differently about:

  • The intentionality behind our interactions

  • How we listen, respond, and build trust

  • The importance of human‑centred relationships in achieving organisational transformation

The ideas sparked rich conversations and will continue to shape how we lead and collaborate throughout 2026.

Looking Ahead

The offsite served as a timely reminder of what makes Realign Consulting unique—our commitment to strategic clarity, meaningful relationships, and the ongoing development of our people. As we move into 2026, we do so with a shared vision, renewed energy, and a deep appreciation for the team around us.

We look forward to partnering with our clients and bringing this momentum into the work we deliver every day.
